Cost planning / clarity before a number

Understand the scope. Then compare the price.

A useful quotation tells you what you’re getting and the assumptions behind it. This guide helps you prepare and compare. BLOC does not currently publish approved fixed prices.

Four cost drivers

Every project
has its own equation.

Your budget is a useful starting preference. A measured scope, site review and agreed selections turn it into a commercial conversation.

01

The measured scope

Room count alone is not enough. Quantities, dimensions, surface areas and the actual work package shape a proposal.

02

Material and hardware choices

Cabinet construction, shutter finish, worktops, fittings and fixtures each affect what is being supplied. Compare specifications alongside totals.

03

What the site needs

Existing condition, service relocation, access, protection, disposal and specialist work may change the scope.

04

What is included

Design coordination, appliances, loose furniture, lighting, civil work, taxes and handover documents should be stated explicitly.

Prepare a better starting brief.

Choose your spaces, record priorities and add your own budget preference. Review the brief before sharing it.

Build your brief

Interiors, your way

A direction.
Then a defined scope.

Essential, Signature and Bespoke describe different starting directions for an interior conversation. They are not automatic all-inclusive promises. Your written scope confirms the actual items, quantities, materials, exclusions and taxes.

All questions & answers
How much will my project cost?

Cost depends on measured quantities, site condition, material and hardware choices, service alterations, access and the agreed deliverables. BLOC does not currently publish approved fixed prices. A written quotation should make inclusions, exclusions and applicable taxes clear.

Is the project planner a price calculator?

The planner prepares a scope brief: project type, spaces, priorities, your own budget preference and timeframe. It does not calculate a quotation or predict a selling price. You can review the brief before choosing to send an enquiry.

What is included in an interior package?

Essential, Signature and Bespoke are proposed scope directions. Cabinetry, furniture, ceiling work, lighting, appliances, civil changes and loose décor are included only where specifically stated in your written scope. Ask for a quantity and material schedule before comparing proposals.

How are changes handled after work begins?

The working approach is to record the change, its effect on price or programme, and the required approval before additional work proceeds. Your agreement should set out how variations are documented and authorised.
